Fabulous Fleece Blanket

I came across this article on how to make a "low-sew" fleece blanket and had to share because it is just too cute!!!

I thought this would make a great new-baby gift with the added sentiment of being made by hand.  You don't need a sewing machine.  You just need to be able to do a blanket stitch and a running stitch, and the instructions include a link taking you to a instructions on how to do those stitches.  They're simple, so don't be intimidated if you haven't done this before.

If you're good with matching colors you could use the same technique to create a boy or girl appropriate color scheme or even work with nursery colors.  I think the colors shown would make a good gender neutral gift.
